As a guest of SMSE, you will receive a free ‘validation code’ valid in the Main Parking Structure. Entering your license plate & provided validation code into the USD Parking Pay Station will add your vehicle to the SMSE permit.
Parking permits are required on USD campus.
When you enter campus, enter at the Main Entrance (at the intersection of Linda Vista Road and Alcala Park Way). Take the second right into the parking structure (highlighted yellow on map below). You are authorized to park in any spot not otherwise reserved or labeled.

Note license plate prior to approaching a pay station / take a picture of plate.
At pay station, push “Start” on the keypad if the screen is black, which will bring up the home screen.
Push option “2” on the keypad for Enter Validation Code
Enter your license plate number and push the green “ENTER” button with a check mark on the keypad.
Enter the validation code and push the green “ENTER” button with a check mark on the keypad.
Expiration time will display, and transaction is complete. A receipt will be printed but there is no need to place anything on the vehicle’s dashboard.
